LEAPP (Leadership Education for Active Public Participation) India was set up in 2018 by the alumni of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the National University of Singapore, to “empower young leaders with 21st-century skills and an understanding of public policy to lead nation-building discourse”.
Being a high-schooler or an undergraduate is one of the most exciting times in a student’s life. It is a time of hope and seeing the possibility of making things better. LEAPP works with students to comprehend the wicked problems of our times in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and apply the basics of policymaking to find solutions.
The programs designed by LEAPP focus on leadership, critical thinking, framing narratives, and shaping concepts to design impactful policy. Students will have access to mentors who will listen to their ideas and help to shape their thoughts. Additionally, LEAPP provides career guidance and networking opportunities in the field of public policy, international development, and sustainability.
Our workshops have been guided by our mentors and professors at the National University of Singapore and INSEAD, and public policy professionals working in the Government of India, United Nations, National University of Singapore, World Bank, Niti Aayog, and more. Participants will experience an immersive learning process and will work on live projects that will help them put the classroom theories to practice.
LEAPP is that nudge that will Enable, Engage, and Empower young minds to drive positive change in their communities. LEAPP will equip participants in our programs with knowledge, skills, and tools related to good governance, active citizenship, and public policy.
