Frequently asked questions

When and how will the program be conducted?


YLPL program will be conducted from 21 May to 30 May 2020. YCML program will be conducted from 1 to 10 June 2020. These will be conducted virtually through secured video education apps.




What will be the duration for the sessions?


The session would be 2 hours per day. BEsides the clasroom engagement, Participants would be working 5-6 hours in a week on their projects.




What is the hardware requirement?


Participants need to have access to the internet and a personal device to log in to their video classes for the duration of the classes. All the other work would require writing on their devices and researching the topic further.




What is the medium of instruction?


The medium of instruction will be in English.




Who is eligible to apply for this program?


High school students currently in Class 9 to Class 12. Students who have passed out recently from class 12 will also be eligible.




When is the last date for application?


YLPL - 5th May 2020 YCML - 10th May 2020




Is there a certificate at the end of the program?


Participants will be given a certificate by LEAPP India on successful completion of the program.




How will this program help me?


Students will work on wicked problems and identify various innovative solutions to solve the problem as part of team work. They would be presenting a policy analysis note based on the framework we provide in the sessions.




Can participation be cancelled and money refunded?


In case of an unforeseen situation, cancellation can be requested by sending us a request with the reason. We will refund 100% of your payment if the request is received 20 days before the beginning of the program. Requests received 10 days before the program, the refund amount will be 50%. There will be no refunds in case of shorter notice.




Who are the mentors and guest lecturers?


Professionals from international organisations like the World Bank and UN, Foreign Diplomats from other Countries, Senior Bureaucrats and Policy Makers from NITI Aayog are some of the speakers who would be interacting with the participants. They would be talking about their work, the wicked problems they are working on, the challenges they face and how they tackle the trade offs. They will also be answering the participants during the course of the program.
